Your In-Flight Guide to Feeling (and Looking) Fly

PSA: You Can Still Be Bougie and Healthy at 35,000 Feet
Sure, we all love a mid-flight glass of bubbly and those tiny pretzels that have no earthly flavor... but if you want to land glowing, hydrated, and actually functional, it’s time to upgrade your in-flight routine.
Don’t worry, we kept it fun. Here’s how to fly without frying your body.
Hydration Station (Without the Bland Vibes)
Planes are drier than your ex’s texts... humidity levels drop to desert-like 10%-20%. Solution?
• Electrolytes > Plain Water: Pack electrolyte packets (LMNT, Liquid IV, or coconut water powder). You’ll hydrate smarter, not harder.

• Hyaluronic Acid = Your Skin’s BFF: Slather it on before the flight to lock in moisture. Bonus points for a cheeky sheet mask at cruising altitude.
• Skip the Booze (…or Don’t, but At Least Know): Alcohol = dehydration squared. If you must sip that airport martini, double your water intake.
Jet Lag & Chill Pro Move: Ask for hot water with lemon on the flight. Old-school, chic, works like magic.
Snack Like You’re Better Than This
Forget soggy sandwiches and mystery meat trays.
• Nuts, Seeds, & Dried Berries: Healthy fats keep you full longer. (But not honey-roasted peanuts—those are just candy in disguise.)
• Dark Chocolate (70%+): Yes, it’s allowed. Antioxidants + mood boost? Win.
• Cut Fruit or Veggies: Bring your own. You’ll feel smug and satisfied.
• Protein Bars (That Don’t Taste Like Cardboard): Look for low sugar, clean ingredients. Our faves? RXBar, Aloha, and Lärabar.
Move It or Lose It (Circulation, Baby)
You don’t have to become that person doing full yoga in the aisle. But a little movement goes a long way.
• Point & flex your feet every hour. It’s basically a seated calf workout.
• Walk the aisle every 90 mins. Pretend you’re a supermodel on the runway.
• Compression socks: Not just for grandmas. They’re a vibe now.
Little Supplements, Big Wins
Disclaimer: This isn’t medical advice. It’s just what we swear by in the skies.
• Magnesium: For muscle relaxation and better sleep.
• Melatonin (Low Dose!): Help your body reset without the hangover.
• Probiotics: Gut health gets funky at altitude—bring backup.
• Vitamin C or Elderberry: Immune support because airplanes are giant germ tubes.
Fly Cute, Land Glowing
No shame in a little self-care at 30,000 feet:
• Facial mist + moisturizer = Non-negotiable.
• Lip balm with SPF—because airplane windows let in UV rays.
• Blue light glasses if you’re glued to the seatback screen.
• Noise-canceling headphones + sleep mask combo = Instant VIP suite.
Bonus: Our “Carry-On Glow Kit” Essentials
Here’s our cheat sheet—copy us shamelessly:
• Mini hyaluronic acid serum (we love Tower 28 or Drunk Elephant)
• Travel-sized facial mist (Caudalie Beauty Elixir, anyone?)
• Sleep mask & ear plugs
• Magnesium spray or capsules
• Dark chocolate (non-negotiable)
• Compression socks (because chic and functional)
Final Boarding Call: It’s Not About Perfection
Listen, we still crush a cheese plate and order wine at 35,000 feet sometimes. But when you can sneak in a few of these tricks, your body will thank you—and your post-flight selfies will hit harder.
